Let’s Star All Over Again, Shall We?
Chapter 398 The Unanswered Question
Maggie found herself struggling to adapt to his strength and madness. The stark difference in physical and- perhaps other forms of strength between them always leaves her at a loss for words.
Today, Nathael seemed unusually rough. In the dim night, faint marks of varying depths were left on the woman’s fair skin.
There was little foreplay, and the intensity was unlike anything they’d experienced before.
Tears welled up instantly in Maggie’s eyes. The pain made her clench her teeth tightly, and her nails dug involuntarily into his back.
She shut her eyes firmly, biting down hard on her lip, determined not to let out those seductive sounds. After tossing around for a long time, a thin layer of sweat formed on Nathael’s forehead. Leaning close to her ear, his voice hoarse and tinged with allure whenever he asked, “Nana, who is he?”
Nathael assumed there wasn’t any man named Balslev around her, and he believed she had little opportunity to be with another man when she was with him.
However, once Nathacl thought about the dreams she mentioned, he became uncertain again.
Is he the man in her dreams?
If he appeared in her dream, what did they do?
Those possibilities, along with the unknowns, only made Nathael feel congested and upset.
His eyes were tainted by a dark desire, yet he remained incredibly clear–headed and restrained, holding back some impending emotion.
Maggie’s eyelashes trembled lightly, a layer of mist coating its long strands.
She didn’t say anything, staring at his gorgeous face in the dim light. His keen features were precise and angular, his eyebrows were sharp, his nose straight, and his white skin adorned with a pair of deep, piercing eyes. His pale lips had now turned slightly red, perhaps from their kisses.
Under the dim light, she could see the veins standing out on his neck, his strong muscular lines, and fine beads of sweat.
Nathael’s Adam’s apple moved slightly; he never felt as weak as he did at this moment.
He was capable of so many things, but he couldn’t force her to love him.
He lowered his gaze, deciding not to ask again, and thrusting into her forcefully, as if this was the only way. he could prove that she still belonged to him at this moment.
Maggie’s breath became erratic, She closed her eyes tightly and clenched her teeth.
But she was never his match. In the dead of night, the woman’s muffled cries could still be heard in that
room.

Chapter 398 The Unanswered Question
As night fell, Maggie drifted into another deep sleep with tear streaks still visible on her face.
After tidying her up. Nathael got up and headed to the study. He pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and called Alex’s number.
Alex, though deeply asleep, swiftly answered the phone.
“Mr. Harris.”
Nathael took a deep drag of his cigarette between his fingers and asked in a low voice, “How’s the investigation going?”
Alex responded promptly. There’s nothing unusual about Ms. Adam’s recent activities. Since being kidnapped, she has met Timmothy twice and also met Joyce, Mia, and Leo several times. There were a few other classmates and colleagues, but they didn’t show any abnormal behaviour.
“Timmothy’s leg injury has healed nicely, and he’s been relatively quiet lately. Master Harris released Mr. Hudson not long ago, but he hasn’t caused any trouble recently. Ms. Adam’s trail is a bit difficult to trace, as if someone has covered it up.”
In truth, Alex didn’t know what to report because, based on the investigation, Maggie’s recent movements weren’t particularly noteworthy.
He couldn’t figure out the reason for her sudden breakup proposal, but he did notice that some traces of her had been erased.
Alex initially intended to uncover these discrepancies sooner and then report them.
However, he hadn’t anticipated that the situation would be much trickier than he imagined. Her trail had been erased countless times, and he had spent a lot of effort investigating but hadn’t found any leads yet.
Maggie’s several visits to the medical clinic, as well as her brief meetings with Timmothy and Master Harris, had been wiped out.
In addition to Timmothy and Master Harris’s actions, Leo had done the same, and Lucas also erased a lot of online data.
So, after searching for two days, Alex couldn’t find any leads.
Nathael instructed, “Continue the investigation.” After a pause, he added, “Check again if there’s a man with the surname Balslev around her.”
“Understood.”
After hanging up, Nathael stood by the window for a long time.
He knew that if she insisted on leaving, he couldn’t stop her unless he didn’t mind her hating him for the rest of her life.
However, no one understood better than him how much he dreaded meeting her indifferent and hateful
gaze.
He had no idea what he was holding on to anymore. It seemed that even if it was just one more day, he would lose his happiness and joy.

Chapter 398 The Unanswered Question
Nathael glanced into the night and wished he could turn back, freezing forever in those few months..
Nathael finally returned to the bed after standing in the cold wind for a while.
Maggie involuntarily moved away from him, most likely due to the chill on his body, but Nathael furrowed his brow and pulled her back.
Maggie struggled for a moment, but when she knew she was unable to break free, she gradually became docile.
In the latter half of the night, nestled in his warmth, Maggie snuggled closer to him.
Nathael didn’t get much sleep that night; his chin resting on her hair as he held her closely.
Maggie woke up the next day, when it was already noon.
Her eyes were puffy. She resembled a rag doll that had been–flung around. Before she could gather her thoughts, Mia rushed in.
“Is Nathael even human? Why does he keep torturing you like this!”
Mia exploded upon seeing Maggie’s pale face, but even her father was respectful to Nathael. He was not someone she could confront, no matter how upset she was.
Rubbing her heavy head, Maggie’s voice was hoarse as she replied, “You don’t understand. He can’t live
without me.”
Mia was exasperated by her stubbornness. “Maggic, look at yourself! You’re so stubborn!”
Maggie refused to discuss this topic further with her. “Is everything arranged with Lucas?”
“Don’t worry, your ‘Mr. Balsley‘ is across the ocean, Mia whispered.
Maggie responded gently; her mood was sour.
The so–called ‘Mr. Balslev‘ was a persona they had devised beforehand. After all, if they wanted Nathael to feel utterly hopeless and disappointed, they needed a reasonable excuse.
She had been mistaken before. She always expressed her love when they were together, but tried to deceive him with this fake persona when they separated.
It would have been better to make a dramatic move from the start; either he would kill her directly, or let her go.
Mia looked at Maggie’s expression and caressed Maggie’s hair. “Maggie, why are you doing this?” she asked. gently.
She could see that Maggie still liked him, or perhaps still loved him.
Maggie blinked at her and smiled. “TIl tell you once we get out from this.”
Hearing this, Mia didn’t press further. Maggie then asked, “Did you bring what I asked for?”

“Yeah, it’s here.” Mia pulled out a box of emergency contraception pills from her bag and handed it to Maggic.
Maggie took the water and swallowed one pill directly.
Nathael had be
out of control these past two days, and he hadn’t used protection. Though she considered having a child with him, the poison in her body would attack immediately, and she didn’t want to have a child in this situation.
