Chapter 217 Out of Control
Some reporters were not familiar with jewelry brands, but there was always someone who knew.
Someone examined Sierra’s necklace before asking, “Ms. Cameron, is this a replica of Adam Group’s design? Adam Group released the same necklace three years ago, with only three limited editions worldwide….
The question came from a fashion magazine reporter with sharp eyes. It was clear that the competition went beyond her usual beat.
Given students‘ participation and potential future figures in entertainment or fashion, and with support from the Camerons and major brands, the perceptive magazine naturally sought to cover the event.
Sierra’s expression hardened, and she fixed a cold gaze on the reporter, demanding, “What are you suggesting?”
“Don’t you know? This necklace was released by the Adams three years ago. Are you implying that Adams copied Luster Corporation?” The woman’s words were sharp, causing other reporters to sense tension and quickly capture the moment with their cameras,
This is outrageous! You’re spouting nonsense!” Sierra retorted angrily and tried to walk away.
However, no one allowed her to leave. The crowd once again closed in around her.
“Ms. Cameron, can you confirm that this is truly a Luster Corporation necklace?”
“Can you express your confidence in Luster Corporation’s future?”
“Was your goal in joining the competition to stand out?”
“I understand your sister, Maggie Adam, is also competing. Do you think you can compete with her?”
Initially, Sierra had no plans to reply, sensing vaguely that something was off.
However, the incessant questioning left her no time to think.
Sierra came to a sudden stop, frowning at the final question. “My sister has been preoccupied with family
interests matters for years, leaving her with little time to practice the piano, unlike me, who can pursue my with their support. So, if my sister doesn’t rank high, it’s understandable.”
Sierra genuinely wanted to put Maggie down in front of everyone, but she held back following Olivia’s advice.
Luster’s reputation was at stake, and someone had to take responsibility.
And Maggie was the most suitable candidate for that.
Meanwhile, Maggie had left the scene and, taking advantage of the chaos, slipped into Nathael’s car.
“Ronald’s PR team has already put out the advertorial. You pulled off this final move excellently,” Nathael remarked in a deep tone/passing the tablet to Maggie.

Maggie’s attention immediately turned to the webpage, which was brimming with publicity about Sierra and the jewelry she was wearing.
As Maggie scrolled through, she noticed that some teams were slow to react. They were still using images of the necklace Sierra had initially planned to wear.
The necklace had never been shown to the audience, yet some teams were concocting stories and praising it, which seemed absurd.
Essentially, it was all made up!.
Two–thirds of them were more discerning, promptly replacing Ronald’s scripted analysis with the yellow sapphire necklace Sierra wore that day.
However, this resulted in inconsistencie
in the praises, with some trying to uphold Sierra’s image by
praising her piano skills and highlighting the necklace.
Unfortunately, many of those managing online media and promotional campaigns lacked knowledge of jewelry, leading to nonsensical comments that became a source of ridicule.
Maggie smiled faintly, feeling content.
Sierra’s actions this time truly fueled Luster Corporation’s downfall.
Ronald and Master Cameron were going to go mad from anger!
As she scrolled further, she found numerous articles praising Sierra, but some subtly criticized her.
However, it became clear that Ericko, Nathael, and Leo were all working hard, and soon, someone exposed the fact that the Camerons were buying fake followers and hiring individuals to write promotional articles to enhance Sierra’s image.
Some influential bloggers and popular influencers shared comparative images, providing professional analyses of the situation and straightforwardly asserting that the Cameron princess was simply a puppet.
Several knowledgeable individuals raised doubts about Sierra’s abilities, suggesting they might not be as outstanding as claimed.
Maggie skimmed through the comments on Sierra’s post and confirmed this.
Ronald’s purchase of fake followers and fans had been exposed, with many pointing out that Sierra’s jewelry was not from Luster Corporation. Furthermore, some critics deemed her piano skills to be lacking.
Just so you know, Sierra chose her jewelry from the Adam Group, which has some top–notch jewelry designers in the country. Even the princess of Cameron Group goes for Adam Group’s jewelry.
What a joke! Why is she pretending to be an innocent princess? How can she wear Adam Group’s jewelry and pretend it’s from Luster? Have the Camerons gone crazy?”
Seems like Luster’s jewelry isn’t as great as they say, huh? Why else would the Camerons‘ daughter ditch their own products and back their rivals?”
Seriously, do they think we’re all idiots? And spare us the fluff pieces, Camerons, it’s downright ridiculous! Just look at the photos yourself, are they even real?‘

Maybe we shouldn’t hype up this prodigy image. Let’s just stick with the clueless angle!”
The Camerons make me sick. How can Sierra gain so many fans right after she shows up? Also, why are there so many old photos of her using Luster Corporation’s dupes? Are people really buying into this?”
I reckon she’s pretty good at playing the piano. She doesn’t know what her family’s doing behind the scenes. She’s just focused on getting better at the piano and winning the competition to support her family. Why make it all sound so shady?‘
Seriously, do you even know a thing about playing piano? It’s better to not embarrass yourself with that level of skill.
Let’s think about this logically. Luster Corporation is likely trying to boost its reputation. It wants to gain more fans through Sierra, earn some goodwill, and then use those fans to sell its stuff. And, of course, the Camerons‘ adopted daughter is going to take the heat.
For a moment, the University’s Piano Competition went viral, with diverse opinions surfacing.
Despite the fluctuating viewership ratings, it was undeniable that the competition was gaining the traction Ronald had envisioned.
Yet, whether this eventual outcome aligns with his intentions remains uncertain.
Maggie turned to Nathael and asked softly, “Do you think the public sentiment is going overboard?”

Concerned that things might spiral out of control in the opposite direction, Maggie feared that the situation might escalate rapidly with all the focus now on Sierra.
Nathael replied solemnly, “We’re just revealing the truth. We didn’t influence all online public opinion. In this era of advanced technology, people aren’t easily misled.”
