Nora remained silent for a moment, her hands tightly gripping the table, clearly inexperienced in such
matters.

Nathael unlocked his phone again, swiftly blocking both Beth’s number and WhatsApp.
Just then, Maggie stepped out of the bathroom after finishing her shower.
Walking into the living room, she noticed the bedroom door ajar. He stood by the desk, lost in thought, his silhouette carrying a hint of loneliness, which inexplicably weighed on her chest.
“Nathael?” Maggie tapped on the door softly, calling out his name.
But he remained unresponsive, as if he hadn’t heard her at all.
Approaching him, Maggie gently wrapped her arms around his waist from behind, then leaned her cheek against his shoulder. “What’s on your mind?”
Nathael snapped out of his thoughts, placing his large hand over hers resting on his waist.
“Not much, just some work stuff to handle at the company.”
“Still busy? I’ll keep you company” Maggie couldn’t help but feel sorry for him.
“No need, you should go to bed first. With that, Nathael took her hand and led her back to the bedroom.

“Yeah, so, would you mind cheering me up a bit?” Nathael spoke softly, his deep eyes fixed on her charming and obedient face.
Maggie chuckled softly. “How old are you that you always need cheering up?”
Nathael pulled her into his embrace, resting his handsome face against her neck. His voice was low and slightly muffled, tinged with a hint of vulnerability. “Three years old.”
Maggie paused for a moment, then reached out to gently run her fingers through his hair.
“What’s the matter? Why are you suddenly feeling down?”
Nathael didn’t respond audibly, but he held her tighter. “Maggie, I love you more than what you think.”
Maggie’s throat tightened, and her hand halted briefly. She whispered, “I know.”
Nathael lowered his gaze, trying to convince himself that things were fine now and there was no need to dwell on the past.
Still, he couldn’t shake off his unease, fearing that it might all be just a fleeting dream.
“Nathael, do you enjoy strawberries?” Maggie blinked, her voice soft as she asked.
Nathael raised his head, his eyes deep and inscrutable as he looked at her, but he didn’t say a word.
“I’ll plant a strawberry for you.”
Maggie Adam’s eyes sparkled mischievously, and before Nathael Harris could react, she tiptoed and lightly kissed his collarbone.

Nathael Harris remained motionless on the spot.
After a few seconds, Maggie Adam raised her head and noticed a faint pink mark on the man’s fair and alluring collarbone.
Maggie’s cheeks flushed slightly, avoiding Nathael’s gaze as she turned and climbed into bed, saying, “Let’s sleep!”
Nathael walked over to the mirror, staring at the ‘strawberry on his collarbone for a moment.
After a while, he chuckled, feeling considerably better despite everything.
Maggie was kissed by Nathael until she felt weak all over, then drifted off into a deep sleep.
Perhaps it was out of consideration for her upcoming match tomorrow that he was unusually restrained. Despite this, Maggie found it difficult to resist his advances.

“Contact Nora, give her some money, and make sure she keeps her mouth shut, cutting ties with the Camerons completely,” Nathael instructed.
This time. Alex took a moment to react.

Who is that?
He got up and splashed his face with cold water in the bathroom, fully alert now.

That woman who inexplicably ended up in the CEO’s room?
Hearing about this, Alex knew it must be related to Maggie again. After all, it was related to the Camerons, and besides, only Maggie knew the password to the CEO’s hotel room back then.

Having no luck, she picked up her phone and started scrolling through the online news.
With just a glance, she noticed that “First Love” had shot up to the top of Twitter’s trending topics. It didn’t seem like it was artificially boosted. There were plenty of comments.
Before clicking on it, those two words always made people think it was a movie. Many clicked out of curiosity, expecting it to be another typical love story.
Surprisingly, when clicked, it turned out to be a piano piece, with the performer never showing her face, only giving viewers a glimpse of their silhouette throughout.
