Chapter 200 The Unfortunate Man
The moment she saw Sierra enter the room, Maggie felt a surge of resentment. It was clear that Ronald had been plotting something all along, manipulating her like a pawn in his
game.
If everything hadn’t been settled behind the scenes, how else could Sierra have shown up so quickly?
Despite her suspicions, Maggie decided to play dumb.
After not seeing her for a while, Sierra didn’t look embarrassed, but she looked a bit high–spirited.
Even though the Pierces weren’t as wealthy as the Camerons, they still held a respectable position in society.
Their family was deeply rooted in the arts. Master Pierce was renowned for his calligraphy and painting skills, while Madam Pierce was a renowned performer.
Even Olivia, who usually kept a low profile, had made significant strides in calligraphy, painting, and performing arts.
With only one son and one daughter. Olivia had always been the apple of her parents‘ eyes, especially because she was born later in their lives.
When Olivia married Ronald, life appeared to be going smoothly for them. Likewise, the old couple treasured Joseph and Sierra.
Even though the Pierces were not a wealthy family, they were not short of money. At first, when they knew Sierra was driven out from the Camerons, they were enraged. If it weren’t for the fact that their grandson and daughter were still under the Camerons‘ roof, they would had came to demand an explanation.
Despite not receiving an explanation, the Pierces empathised with Sierra, giving her love and care to ensure she didn’t feel aggrieved.
As a result, despite being evicted by Master Cameron, Sierra had a rather easy life.
“Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, Mom Brother,” Sierra acknowledged each family member respectfully after taking off her sunglasses, following Olivia’s guidance.
When Sierra’s gaze met Maggie’s, she paused briefly before addressing Maggie as her sister.
Maggie arched an eyebrow, seeing the animosity in Sierra’s eyes.
Sierra was fierce but lacked expertise, She was an innocent girl who was spoiled because of her family background.
“It’s nice to have you back. You must already reflect on your behaviour during this time. Remember, as long as the Camerons succeed, so will you. As a Cameron, you must constantly look ahead,” Master Cameron admonished.
Sierra bowed her head and said with red eyes, “I understand, Grandpa. I’ve been worried since I heard about Luster Corporation. Later, when I heard Dad’s plans, I decided to help my family this time.”

Sierra nodded. “Mom, don’t worry. Grandpa helpeil me to get the list of contestants for this competition. There aren’t many good participants, so winning the championship should not be an issue.”
Maggie’s expression remained unchanged, but she pondered Sierra’s words.
She has acquired the list of contestants in advance?
That also meant that Sierra could make an early plan for those she perceived as her opponents.
Upon hearing this. Ronald and the others‘ expressions eased a bit.
Mary held Sierra’s hand affectionately, saying, “I know you are awesome. We can only count on you to transform Luster Corporation’s fate.”
“Don’t worry, Auntie. I’ll do my best.”
Okay. At that time, Auntie will choose some gorgeous jewellery for you, so you’ll be unmatched on
stage
Then, Ronald turned to Maggie. “Maggie, your piano talents–may not be as amazing as Sierra’s, but you’re still very talented. I’m excited to see you and your sister compete on the same stage. You must also perform well,” he remarked.
Don’t worry, Dad.” Maggie nodded seriously and inwardly sneered..
Even his daughter was sent to the stage as a target, so how could he care about me, the daughter of the enemy?
Perhaps Sierra wasn’t the real target, only her.
Maggie instantly comprehended Ronald’s strategy.
Competing with my sister on stage is bullsh*t.
It was just a ploy to divert attention from Luster Corporation’s tarnished reputation.
Tsk, that’s a lofty statement. Even though I have survived a lifetime, I was nearly duped by Ronald again.
I’m sure that the Camerons will undoubtedly promote Sierra,
In the entertainment industry, when operational capital was everything, they would want to promote Sierra.
However, given Luster Corporation’s current condition that alone wouldn’t suffice. So, she had to come out to take the blame.
Maggie remained at the Camerons‘ residence due to the late hour.
As the crowd scattered, she headed upstairs, but Mary shouted out her name, “Maggie!”
Maggie halted her steps and turned to face her, “Yes, Auntie?”

Without waiting for Maggie’s response, she strode away with her head held high.
Maggie stood there, her expression unfazed because she was not surprised at all.
Mary had always looked down on her. Maggie knew Mary’s disdain for her stemmed from her belief that Maggie didn’t deserve the Camerons‘ favour.
So, her aunt refused to acknowledge her.
If not for her contributions to the Camerons, Mary wouldn’t be able to tolerate her presence.
Maggie retracted her gaze, only to lock eyes with Sierra.
Sierra’s innocent façade had vanished, replaced by cold malice.
“How about it, Maggie? Although you tried your hardest to push me away from the Camerons, I always returned. When I win this competition for my family, I will ask you to bend down and apologise to me!”
Sierra had her agenda when she decided to come back.
It was a lifelong shame for her to be forced out of her house in that manner. This time, she returned believing that the family wanted her to win the championship and promote the company.
Of course, under the condition that Maggie apologise to her by kneeling!
If not, she would not agree to come back!
Maggie taught her a lesson; people only have influence when they’re valuable.
She may not be as adept at managing business as Maggie, but God has blessed her with this opportunity.
Maggie smiled half–heartedly, her eyes cold. “So, are you sure you can win?”
“Of course! Do you believe you can win with only a few tricks? Maggie, you should be self–aware as a human. Don’t take it seriously when others compliment you. Others applaud you just because you are a Cameron, but you have never studied systematically, and you have no idea where you found a country bumpkin as your tutor. Do you really believe you are naturally gifted?”
Sierra crossed her arms, undisguisedly hiding the irony in her eyes, and clearly not taking her seriously.
Maggie remained composed, she bent her red lips saying. I thought that speech should be for you, my
sister.
