Chapter 120 Look Good on Him
Nathael’s face, still not free of its amused expression, suddenly stiffened, visibly turning ghastly pale at Maggie’s remarks.
When Maggie noticed this, she couldn’t help but feel a bit of joy herself.
Sometimes happiness was simple.
She had spent the money and wanted to get her money’s worth out of it, even though this particular enjoyment was proving to be quite expensive.
Sofia asked Nathael for an address to have the items delivered, sparing them the trouble of carrying everything themselves.
As they left the store. Nathael glanced at another shop across the way and said calmly, “Let’s have a look.”
Without waiting for Maggie’s response, he started towards it.
Maggie paused for a few seconds before hurrying after him and grabbing his sleeve. She asked, “Why are you checking it out if you aren’t going to buy it?”
Maggie was now genuinely scared. This man was filthy rich, but she was broke.
If he picked up a few more items, she wouldn’t have anything left by the time they left the mall.
Nathael raised an eyebrow, his gaze wicked. “Aren’t you supposed to spoil me?”
Maggie was speechless, realising he held a grudge over her earlier outburst. How could this man be so petty? She had spent the money; why couldn’t she have her little moment of verbal revenge?
After scolding Nathael, Maggie started scolding herself.
Why did she always have to provoke him, knowing full well he wasn’t a merciful or easygoing guy?
Maggie sighed softly. She didn’t really want to do that.
But sometimes, she just couldn’t help it.
“Of course, I’m spoiling you, but there are many ways to do so, not just through shopping,” Maggie bluffed earnestly. Despite her composed words, she was holding onto Nathael’s sleeve for dear life, determined not to let him enter another store.
As she continued, she became more convinced of her righteousness.
“And look, is it easy for me to make money? It’s hard enough to support you, and you don’t know how to save money. Don’t you love me anymore?”
Maggie looked up at him. She wrinkled her brow a little. Her clear eyes were filled with discontent and sorrow, as if demanding an answer.
Alex stood not far behind the couple, expressionless.
Indeed, their playfulness made them a perfect match.

Nathael looked down at the woman in front of him, her face filled with seriousness, as if anxiously waiting for his answer. She appeared nervous and caring.
He knew it was just another one of her games, but he couldn’t help but take it seriously.
“What’s the point of fussing over me, Ms. Adam, when I’m not as well–behaved as other men?”
Maggie paused for a moment, feeling a bit bitter with his answer for no reason.
She raised her brow and scrutinized his expression. Then, she asked with a smile, “Are you jealous?”
Nathael cracked with laughter, though his dark eyes held little humor.
“Don’t flatter yourself. A woman like you aren’t worthy of that.”
Maggie nodded in agreement, but was inwardly pondering what kind of woman he was referring to. After thinking it through, she looked up at him and said, “It’s normal for you to have some misconceptions about me, considering I want to bring happiness to every boy.”
Nathael was taken aback by her shamelessness, which was indeed eye–opening for–him.
Maggie didn’t want to continue this topic. Holding his arm and not letting go, she looked up at him and said softly, “Nathael, let’s make up.”
She truly didn’t want to keep battling with him. Not only was it exhausting, but she also couldn’t outwit him.
Every time she faced Nathael, it was like hurting the enemy while severely damaging herself.
It didn’t make sense, no matter how she looked at it.
Furthermore, they were on the same side.
Why should they fight so badly with each other?
So, wouldn’t it be better to be a loving family than to make loved ones suffer and enemies rejoice?
This woman was most accustomed to this disguise, which was worse than their previous indifference. Her clear eyes just looked straight at you, with obvious expectations and inexplicable caution, like testing and. hoping, making his heart soft, unable to refuse.
Nathael sneered, “Make up? Maggie, have we ever been in a relationship?”
Maggie was at a loss for words.
This man was indeed impossible to reason with.
No wonder she didn’t like him in her previous life; with his sharp tongue, it was impossible for him to get
what he wished.
Maggie silently retracted her hand. Her gaze grew colder as she became truly annoyed.
“Fine, then I’m leaving. Take your time shopping. There are plenty of women willing to spend on you.
Marrie’s voice was very faint, and she suddenly realised why she should ston him. After all, she can leave

on her own.
But, though she said this, Maggie was clear in her heart.
Given Nathael’s vengeful nature, if she left, the millions spent today would be in vain.
Sigh! This is tough.
Thinking of the money she just spent, Maggie felt distressed.
It was really expensive to keep a man. Indeed, some pleasures weren’t for everyone to enjoy. This wasn’t a man, but a blood–sucking vampire.
Nathael grips her wrist and sneers carefully. “You better think carefully.
Meeting those sinister eyes. Maggie loses her nerve. She arched her eyes slightly and said appeasingly, “I haven’t thought it through.”
Nathael remained mute.
I actually didn’t want to leave. I’m happy to spend for you, willingly,” Maggie said earnestly, as if it’s the most natural thing to say.
Her beautiful eyes are clear and lively, now carrying a hint of seriousness, as if her expression questioned. why would he doubted her.
Nathael gently pursed his lips. He was accustomed to her quick change of demeanour.
Since she admitted defeat, Nathael doesn’t continued to make things difficult for her.
Leaving the mall together, they passed by an internationally renowned luxury brand.
It’s a maroon logo, modest yet posh, and behind a large glass window, a mannequin dons this year’s latest haute couture suit.
From afar, Maggie’s eyes were drawn to the attire.
The suit was unlike anything Nathael had tried before. It was a faintly blue–tinged black with large golden embroidery at the collar and sleeves, as well as gold vintage–patterned buttons.
Somewhat uniform–like yet less exaggerated, the gold embroidery was slightly ostentatious yet distinct from performance wear, subdued yet textured.
Maggie slowed down. Her gaze was fixated on the suit.
It was beautiful, and she likes it.
Without the need to think, Maggie knew it must be expensive.
Shaking her head, she forces the suit out of her mind. After all, she was a girl; why obsess over a man suit?
There are so many beautiful dresses out there, and she couldn’t bring herself to buy one.
Lost in thought, Maggie followed Nathael into the elevator, which was about to go down, yet her mind still couldn’t heln but envision that suit
